Relaxing Stretches for Better Sleep
If you only have five minutes, check out Jen’s yoga in bed tips for a quick and easy stretch before going to sleep. You should find yourself to start to have a better sleep.
Supported Child's Pose
1. Kneeling on the bed & sit on the heels with big toes touching.
2. Place 2 pillows inside the legs vertically.
3. Lay the chest down to the pillows & ease the head to the left & right.
4. Hold for 5 breaths for each side.
Seated Pigeon
1. Sit hip-width distance apart.
2. Place right ankle on the left knee & bend left knee.
3. Thread the right arm in & interlock palms underneath the left thigh.
4. Stay for 5 breaths without moving Repeat on the left side
Seated Spinal Twisting
1. Sit with legs straight.
2. Bend the right knee up towards the ceiling, place the right foot over the left knee.
3. Bring the left elbow towards the right knee and twist.
4. Stay for 5 breaths and repeat on the other side.
Butterfly
1. Sit with your feet hip-distance apart & grab each foot with your hands to bend your legs.
2. Place elbows against your inner thighs & fold forward.
3. Walk the palms forward.
4. Stay for 5 breaths.
Neck Stretches
1. Sit tall in a cross legs position with shoulders down.
2. Place your left hand on top of your head.
3. Gently pulling your head to the side towards your shoulder.
4. Stay for 5 breaths without moving & repeat on the other side
